Top 10 Posts for 2025

Free 6G Training Blog has now been running for just over five years. What began as a small resource focused on demystifying early thinking around 6G has grown steadily, and last year the blog received over 300,000 page views. There are now more than 300 posts exploring everything from standards and R&D initiatives to spectrum policy, new architecture proposals and early use case thinking.

This year has been another busy one for 6G. More than 50 posts were published during 2025, although there were still many topics I would have liked to cover if time had allowed. There now seems to be a webinar, seminar or conference on 6G every couple of weeks. Even at events where 6G is not the main theme, it is still regularly discussed or at least mentioned somewhere in the agenda.

I always try to include links to recordings and presentations where possible, but the reality is that many of these materials sit behind event portals or disappear shortly afterwards. This makes it useful to collect summaries, reflections and learning points in one place, so they remain accessible for readers in the longer term.

With that in mind, here are the top 10 most-viewed posts of 2025. Interestingly, every one of them was published this year. I have included the month and year of publication for context:

  1. The Evolution of Core Networks in 6G: A Pragmatic Approach, Feb 2025
  2. Updated RF Spectrum Tutorial Featuring 6G Insights, Apr 2025
  3. Summary of 3GPP's 6G Workshop, Mar 2025
  4. Multi-Radio Spectrum Sharing (MRSS) and/or Dual-Stack for Initial 6G Rollouts, Jun 2025
  5. 6G News and Announcements from MWC 2025, Mar 2025
  6. Japan Leads with Comprehensive 6G Technology Roadmaps, Jun 2025
  7. ETSI’s First ISAC Report Lays Foundations for 6G Sensing and Communication Integration, Apr 2025
  8. 3GPP and O-RAN ALLIANCE Discuss 6G Coordination, May 2025
  9. LG Uplus' Vision for the 6G Era, Jan 2025
  10. RISTA and Its Latest Whitepapers on RIS for 6G, Jun 2025

It has been encouraging to see continued interest in technical deep dives, standards-related updates and analysis of operator and industry initiatives. The goal remains the same as always: to make developments in 6G easier to follow, without the hype and without assuming specialist knowledge.

There is still a long way to go before 6G becomes a commercial reality, and the research journey continues to evolve rapidly. I will keep sharing useful material, insights and summaries whenever possible. If you are involved in a deployment, research activity or trial related to future networks and would like to discuss or highlight it, I am always happy to talk.

Thank you for reading and for your continued support of the blog.
